Bryce Matteson, Longtime Board Member, Passes Away

April 5, 2023

The OU Club Board of directors was shocked and saddened by this post from Bryce’s wife, Debbie, and his daughters.

“We are sad to share that Bryce/Dad passed away suddenly on Wednesday, March 31, due to a short, unknown battle with AML (acute myeloid leukemia). To say we are in shock is an understatement. We are overwhelmed with the outpouring of love and support we have received. Please keep our family in your prayers.”

For years Byrce served as our scholarship chair working with the university and Kansas high schools to select OU-bound students for our club scholarships. His love for OU was massive and we will miss him.

The OU Club Board of Directors sadly announces the passing of longtime board member, Patti Phillips on March 22, 2024. Patti served as club secretary and was a fixture at many club events. She resigned from her board position in 2021 when she moved back to Oklahoma where she formed her own company Professional Legal Nurse Consulting, while excelling in several other career case management positions, the final being with the Veterans Administration (VA) as a Nurse within Community Care. Her love for OU was always on display as she showed up at every board wearing the latest in Sooner gear. Learn more about Patti from her obituary
